Now, here is the item that you came for. Accompanied by COA, recovered from Association Shipwreck. Sea Salvaged HMS Association Shipwreck 1707 off Scilly England.
Association was a British warship that met its demise in the Scilly naval disaster of October 1707. This claimed the lives of approximately 1,400-2,000 sailors, making this incident one of the worst maritime disasters in British naval history. Salvaging began in the 1960's, recovering a plethora of artifacts and over 2,000 gold and silver coins. The quantity of salvaged historical artifacts led to the passing of government legislation, specifically the Protection of Wrecks Act 1973, to preserve British historical wrecks as a part of maritime heritage. Please take note, this is NOT a fragment, this is a FULL & COMPLETE 8 Real Cob.
We have taken notice of many other sellers listing fragments as full or complete cobs, and making no notation of that in their listings.
