The coin's reverse depicts a beautifully intriguing underwater scene featuring a pair of scuba divers.

The two are shown as silhouettes against a backdrop of the vast ocean depths off the Grenada coast. They are descending ever deeper toward an ancient shipwreck. Yet, the remains of a tall mast still stand.

A large coral reef fills the foreground, which is very nicely detailed. The overall design is one of the most pleasing of the EC8 series to date. It displays a great sense of depth of field. The detailed coral reef in the foreground gives way to the first diver in the near distance. This has the effect of pulling you into the scene to appreciate more of its detail. The inscription "GRENADA" is arched at the top rim, with "2018" immediately under it.

The obverse will be common to all eight EC8 2018 releases. The inset features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Distinctive laurels of evergreen shrubs frame the portrait on either side, nearly filling the center inset. A narrow band encircles the rim, which includes the inscriptions, "EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK" at the top, and 1 oz.
