1300-1320 Switzerland Zurich Pfennig Fraumünster Abbey NGC MS61 Medieval Silver

This piece is a "Vierzipfliger" bracteate pfennig, a thin, single-sided coin type distinctive to medieval German-Swiss coinage, featuring the bust of the abbess on the obverse. Weighing 0.40 grams, it has been professionally authenticated and graded NGC MS 61 (Certification #6329632-001, instantly verifiable at NGCcoin.

Com/verify), and remarkably, NGC's own official population report confirms that only ONE SINGLE COIN of this issue has ever graded higher - making this a genuine condition rarity, tied for second-finest known out of NGC's entire certified population. A striking, seven-century-old survivor of ecclesiastical coinage from one of medieval Europe's most unusual city-states - where a Benedictine abbess ruled as sovereign - this coin offers collectors of Swiss, medieval, or ecclesiastical numismatics a rare opportunity to own a true top-tier certified example. Certified and sealed in its original tamper-evident NGC holder for authenticity and protection.
